The Citizenship&Legal Identity Learning Exchange started in Nairobi (Kenya). It gathered 17 representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from different countries. Iryna Aleksieieva, Project Manager of the CF “Right to Protection” is among the participants.
The event is organized by the NGO Namati, which specializes in community development, and supported by the Open Society Institute.
Within two weeks, the participants will share experience in involving paralegals in registering births and obtaining identity documents. Today they will go to the cities of Harris and Mombasa to observe the work of paralegals in communities and explore best practices in Kenya’s human rights organizations.
