Right to protection 2017 annual report
We have prepared an annual report that tells us about our results and achievements for 2017.
2017 brought significant improvements to the lives of our beneficiaries, but the challenges they face daily have not diminished.
During the year we made every effort to develop current and implement new projects.
We believe that strengthening the role of local partners is an important element in solving humanitarian and legal issues both in Ukraine and throughout the world.
We thank all beneficiaries, government and civil society organizations, donors, other international and national stakeholders for their support.
We will continue to work to improve the situation in Ukraine until we ensure compliance with the rights of our beneficiaries at all levels.
Right to protection 2016 annual report
Right to Protection in partnership with HIAS (R2P) continues to be a client-centric organization striving to accomplish our mission of making Ukraine a better place for the internally displaced (IDPs) and conflict affected populations, refugees and asylum seekers, and the stateless and undocumented. 2016 was a difficult year for all of R2P’s beneficiary classes. Our clients faced various challenges including the humanitarian crisis in East Ukraine, governmental failures to pass critical legislation as well as failures in legislative and policy implementation, the termination of pension benefits for hundreds of thousands of displaced pensioners in East Ukraine, and more.
