When Russia launched a full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, asylum seekers, refugees and persons in need of complementary protection from Ukraine were among the millions forcibly relocated to the European Union.
Despite the state of war in Ukraine, many refugees decided to return and faced difficulties when crossing the state border. The problem arose due to the fact that these persons left during the period of active hostilities under the simplified procedure for crossing the state border without a travel document, or this document expired during their stay outside the country.
In order to protect the rights of refugees and persons in need of complementary protection in Ukraine, Right to Protection has prepared an infographic of documents for return to Ukraine.
The purpose of this infographic is to provide step-by-step instructions on returning to Ukraine and save beneficiaries from additional complications.
