Cash assistance for living conditions improvement by Right to Protection with the support of the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF)

With the support of the UHF, Right to Protection is collecting data for the 2024 rent assistance programme. The project is being implemented in Vinnytsia, Vinnytska oblast, and Dnipro, Dnipropetrovska oblast. It aims to support internally displaced families and facilitate their integration and adaptation in new hromadas for six months.

Who Can Receive Assistance?

Internally displaced families who were forced to move after 24.02.2022 have not yet received specialised rental assistance from international organisations and also belong to one of these categories of citizens:

• IDPs living in Collective Centres (CCs) who can pay for private rent after the rental assistance programme expires.
  
  
• IDPs living in the CC are under threat of eviction, especially those living in schools and kindergartens, due to the return of these institutions to educational activities.
  
  
• IDPs already living in rented accommodation are under threat of eviction and have no alternative but to move to the CC.
  
  
• Newly arrived IDPs (up to 1 year at the time of registration in the project) who do not wish to reside in the CC.

Applicants for the programme must also meet at least one of the vulnerability criteria:

• a family with one parent (priority will be given to a female head of household) with one child or several children under the age of 18 (up to 23 years if studying full-time or dual) or with older people (55 years and older);
  
  
• a family consisting of one/several single older people (55 years and older) or elderly persons with one child or several children under the age of 18;
  
  
• a family with one or more persons with special needs (disability, HIV, tuberculosis, severe medical condition (nervous system disorders, severe congenital malformations, rare orphan diseases, oncological, onco-haematological diseases, cerebral palsy, severe mental disorders, type I diabetes mellitus (insulin-dependent), acute or chronic kidney disease of the IV degree, severe injuries, the need for organ transplantation, the need for palliative care);
  the presence of the disease must be confirmed by a medical certificate;
  
  
• foster families raising unaccompanied children and children separated from their parents (documented);
  
  
• households with three or more children under the age of 18 (not included);
  
  
• households with pregnant women or women with children under the age of three.

All target groups should be able to pay private rent at the end of the support period. To do so, they should understand the duration of the cash assistance and plan for follow-up activities to gain the ability to pay rent.

The household must also be able to find a rental property and pay the first two months of rent.

Note!

After applying, the information in it will be additionally checked for compliance with the terms of the programme, as well as for the fact of receiving similar assistance from other international organisations.

Households that become participants in the programme will receive funds in their current account in three instalments. This bank account must be valid for at least another 6–8 months, plus:

• belong to you;
• be in hryvnia;
• not be social, credit, from the "ePiddtrymka" / "eMaliatko" programmes.

You must provide your bank account IBAN — UA + 27 digits (without spaces).

All information you provide during registration is confidential. By submitting your personal data, you agree to transfer it to the financial service provider to receive cash assistance.
